The Institute for Outdoor Learning

Written by Louise Digby

The Institute for Outdoor Learning is the professional body for organisations and individuals who use the outdoors to make a positive difference for others.

The IOL have four key priorities:

1. Voice: To champion outdoor learning by leading sector consultations and collaborations and lobbying policy makers.

2. Community: To support members to develop connections and share practice regionally and nationally.

3. Work Force: To provide career development, professional recognition, occupational standards, and external quality assurance for the outdoor learning sector.

4. Standards: To define and develop quality in outdoor learning, sharing latest information, research, and good practice.
