How often do I need to provide reflections?

Mentors are asked to provide reflections at the end of each separately paid for block. Because of this, it's best to choose a block length that makes sense as a reviewable period.

How will I be notified that I need to provide a reflection?

After a block has ended, you will receive an email with a button prompting you to give feedback via the website. Click on the button, and you'll be directed to the reflection page.

What form do the reflections take?

We use a simple three point progress scale for you to assess the learner against the learning aims you provided in your listing.

The progress scale consists of three levels:

  • Understand: Able to describe and recall.

  • Apply: Able to link learning with other ideas, compare them and understand why they are important.

  • Extend: Able to apply to new situations, create new ideas and predict what will happen.

Simply choose which of these you think is most applicable for each learner.

Remember, you are much more likely to receive reflections from your learners if you take time to review their progress. Everyone loves good feedback!
