What safeguarding do you have in place?
We are not an employer, we act as an introducer and we show you all the information that the mentor has declared regarding their safety precautions. We do not verify it. We ask mentors to make all their documents easily available to parents and parents should take full responsibility for satisfying themselves that their children are safe.
Can I attend/observe the activity with my child?
If the mentor is happy with this it will be displayed on the listing as we give the mentors options to tick in their listing process. However, you should never leave your child unattended if you have any concerns whatsoever about their wellbeing.
What do I do if I have a complaint about a mentor?
You should speak to the mentor in the first instance. If you are dissatisfied by the response or feel we should be informed regardless please contact us at hello@eequ.org and we will attempt to mediate a further conversation or decide on other appropriate action.
Will mentors be allowed to photograph my children during the activity?
We do not control mentors’ use of cameras other than expressly asking them not to publish photos of children on listings without written parental consent. If you have any wishes regarding the use of cameras by a mentor you should speak to them directly.
