How to Handle Refund Requests

Written by Iryna Bobechko

In this article, you will find clear instructions on how to view and manage refund requests for your bookings. To make it even easier, we’ve included a short video with step-by-step guidance.

Step 1: Access Your Bookings

Start by going to your booking page. Here, you will see a list of all your bookings. Look out for a small question mark icon next to any bookings that have been cancelled. This icon indicates that a refund request requires your attention.

Step 2: Filter Refund Requests

If you have multiple cancellations, it may be helpful to use the Refund Decision section. This section will show only the bookings that require a refund decision, making it easier to manage them efficiently.

Step 3: Review Cancellation Details

Click on the orange question mark icon to open the booking drawer. In the Cancellation and Refunds section, you will see a pending refund request. You can also view the cancellation message left by the booker to remind yourself why they cancelled.

Step 4: Make Your Refund Decision

You have two options:

  • Approve Refund – Click this if you want to refund the booking. You will then see a summary showing who is being refunded and for which session. This allows you to confirm or cancel if a mistake was made.

  • Decline Refund – Click this if you do not want to refund the booking. In this case, you will still receive your payout.

Step 5: Confirm the Refund

Once you approve a refund, the booking status will change from Paid to Pending, indicating that the refund process has started. The refund usually takes about five minutes to process, and the booker will receive a receipt from Stripe.
